It’s been a minute

I have to admit Lord

My heart hasn’t been in it

This all seems like a mess

I must confess it’s hard letting go

Hanging five or hanging ten

I want to look down

I want to see how

I want to know

How You're going to make me grow

You just want me to let go

You gave Peter the courage

I need it too

Because I feel like life

Is all coming loose

I know I need to get out of the boat

To do it my eyes have to be fully on You

One would think it’s easy

Because You are truth

What does it look like?

What is my boat?

What is the thing I’ve been comfortable in?

Is it the land, the house I live in?

Is it the proximity to my family

Where I can hold them and protect them still?

It’s like jumping off a cliff

This trembling, fearful thrill

I’ll step out

Just give me a direction

Jesus Christ be the object of my constant inspection

About Us

IMG_9537.jpg

We're a wife and husband who love to eat what we create and live off the land as much as possible, even if only on a little less than an acre in the middle of a suburban neighborhood.  She loves to garden and create food and photography, he has a wandering soul that loves to explore, give into wanderlust, and blog about it when he remembers to.  Together they balance each other as they immerse themselves in the other's loves and desires, she is his serenity, and he is her adventure.
